The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that construction is scheduled on Sunday night, September 17, on U.S. 1 and Street Road (Route 132) in Bensalem Township under a project to reconstruct, widen, and improve U.S. 1 in Bucks County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Sunday, September 17, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, alternating rolling lane closures are planned in both directions on U.S. 1 between Old Lincoln Highway and Rockhill Drive for line painting; and
- Sunday September 17, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, alternating lane closures are planned in both directions on Street Road (Route 132) between Kingston Way and Old Lincoln Highway for line painting.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent and subject to change.
The work is part of PennDOT’s substantially completed $95 million RC1 project that reconstructed and improved U.S. 1 and Street Road (Route 132) in Bensalem Township.
